Kanta Elephant Sanctuary - Half day

Kanta Elephant Sanctuary is an ethical and sustainable eco-tourism project located approximately 50 kilometers north of the city of Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. We offer a pleasant and ethical way of meeting, feeding, and touching the elephants in the stunning Mae Taeng Valley.

Kanta offers a retirement home for elephants who have previously worked hard for tourism entertainment or the logging industry. Feed, walk with and observe our beautiful rescued elephants as they roam throughout our sanctuary, socialize and bathe in the river and watch the elephants cover themselves in thick mud as they would do in the wild.

With the half-day program, you will assist in preparing food and herbal medicine, feeding, bathing the elephants, and enjoy a mud bath together. We highly recommend the half-day trip for families with younger children because of comfortable transportation, helpful, easy-going guides, and a half-day program will not be too long for them.

Lunch will not be included with the half day program, but we will prepare fresh fruit and coffee or tea.

Children 3 to 9 years of age pay only 1200 Baht entrance. Children 1 to 2 years of age can join the trip for free.
