ELEPHANT SANCTUARY > DOI INTHANON ELEPHANT PARK - TWO DAYS
Doi Inthanon Elephant Park – Two days
Doi Inthanon Elephant Park is an elephant sanctuary located in Doi Inthanon National Park, about 60 kilometers south of Chiang Mai. Situated in a beautiful valley surrounded by jungle, rice fields and tribal villages. The elephants have lots of space to roam around and enjoy their lives. Doi Inthanon Elephant Park has 5 adult elephants that roam free. They wear a bell around their neck to make them easier to find in the morning after they spend the night in the jungles around the elephant sanctuary.
We will start the day visiting the elephants at Doi Inthanon Elephant Park for about 3 hours. After this we will continue the trip with a 4-kilometer trekking to Nong Montra Karen Hill Tribe Village where we will spend the night in a bamboo hut. The next day we will hike another 5-kilometer to visit a waterfall where we will relax, swim and enjoy lunch. After the waterfall we will hike to the next Karen village and start rafting down the river on a bamboo raft for about 1 hour. We will see elephants bathing in the river, pass local villages and there is the opportunity to swim and jump off the rocks.
We accept maximum 12 persons per day and children younger than 7 years of age get a 50% discount.
