Smile Organic Farm Cooking School - Full day course

Learn how to prepare and cook Thai food with a full day course at Smile Organic Farm Cooking class in Chiang Mai. Our certified chefs by the Chiangmai center for skill development are ready to teach you all the tricks of Thai cooking. On the way to our cookery school, we will stop at a local market and show you the products used in the Thai kitchen.

At our farm, you will see the different kinds of herbs, vegetables, and fruits that we grow by ourselves, and you can pick the herbs to use in your dishes during the class.

With the full-day course, we cook seven items, and you get to eat them all, so make sure you have enough appetite! As an extra, we also make a Thai herbal drink.

This full-day cooking course is an excellent choice for beginners, no cooking experience is needed.

Vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free diets are welcome to join the course. We can cater to most dietary requirements, but please inform us in advance.

Itinerary & Practicalities

Price: 1200 THB

  • Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai between 8:20 – 8:50 AM

  • Visit the local market.

  • Tasting herbs at our farm.

  • Welcome snack and introduction.

  • Start cooking 6 courses from 6 different categories

  • Return to your hotel around 3 PM

The 7 various courses:

  1. Appetizer

  2. Stir-fried (Pad Thai, fried cashew nut, pad see ew, or stir-fried spicy basil)

  3. Soup (Tom yum, Tom Kha or Tom sab)

  4. Curry paste (Red, Green, Panang, Massaman or Khao Soi)

  5. Curry (Red, Green, Panang, Massaman or Khao Soi)

  6. Dessert (Mango sticky rice, banana in coconut milk or deep-fried banana)

After cooking the 3rd course, we will have a 30-minute break, and you can relax in the hammock or walk around and explore our farm.

All students will receive our recipe book so that you can prepare Thai food for your family and friends at home.

Included in price: Recipe book, transportation, English-speaking teacher, all ingredients, all entrance fees, and insurance.

What to bring: Mosquito repellent and sunscreen.
